Engineered Pool Shells

A fibreglass pool is cheaper to install than a concrete pool and cheaper to run requiring less chemicals. Fibreglass is not porus like concrete pools. Faster installation time and rarely require renovating like a concrete pool.

The downsides of installing concrete pools include that they:

  • Are porous, which means they're breeding grounds for algae
  • Require more chemicals and weekly vacuuming to stay clean
  • Take weeks, or possibly months, to install properly
  • Often require expensive repairs and renovations
  • Are rough on your hands and feet

Fibreglass pools are made with several designs and sizes to suit all yards.

  • Around 35% cheaper than a concrete pool
  • Quicker and easier installation
  • Smooth surface that is easier to clean and less susceptible to the growth of algae
  • Durable and low maintenance
  • Once delivered, a fibreglass pool is ready to be installed and you could be swimming in as little as 3 days
  • Smooth non-abrasive finish that does not react with pool chemicals.
  • Flexibility deflections for soil classes A to E
  • Various sizes for all yards
  • Various colours
  • Lifetime structural warranty

FAQ

  • How long does a fibreglass pool installation usually take?

Fibreglass pools are generally quicker to install than concrete pools because the shell is pre-manufactured off site. Once excavation begins, the installation process can often be completed within a few weeks, depending on site access, weather and council approvals. Delays may occur if additional landscaping or structural work is required. Planning approvals and site preparation are important factors that influence overall timelines. Speaking with a qualified installer early can help set realistic expectations.

  • What maintenance is required for a fibreglass pool?

Fibreglass pools are known for being relatively low maintenance due to their non-porous surface. The smooth finish helps reduce algae build-up, which can lower the need for excessive chemical use. Regular tasks still include checking water chemistry, cleaning filters and removing debris. Routine inspections of pumps and filtration systems also help maintain water quality. Following a consistent maintenance schedule helps extend the life of the pool and its equipment.

  • Can fibreglass pools be customised to suit different backyard sizes?

Fibreglass pools come in a wide range of shapes, lengths and depths to suit different block sizes and layouts. Many designs include built-in steps, ledges or spa areas for added functionality. While the shell itself is pre-moulded, surrounding features such as decking, fencing and landscaping can be tailored to match personal style preferences. Colour options also allow homeowners to influence the final water appearance. Careful planning ensures the pool complements both the home and available outdoor space.
